The family of techniques collected under the name of "deep learning" is
responsible for the current success of Artificial Intelligence.
The course analyzes deep learning from a philosophical perspective, identifying
its theoretical assumptions, tracing the history of its origin and progressive
evolution, discussing its relationship with cognition, and its impact on
contemporary society and culture.
